Sana Jahani is a rising senior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Architecture with a minor in City & Regional Planning. As an L.A. native, she is excited about the potential of the City and is passionate about finding a mutual interface between architecture, city planning and technology in order to strengthen the urban community. Upon graduation, Sana aspires to work at a media innovation lab and use her background on environmental design in order to create solutions that alleviate spatial-socio-economic barriers to growth.
During her time at UC Berkeley, she has worked with several advocacy groups and student organizations to promote equity in education. She believes that by looking at space as a factor for change, and drinking plenty of coffee, we can grow strong, healthy and innovative communities.
By studying the Urban Backyard and conducting field work, research and data analysis, she is looking forward to creating a design solution that presents opportunities for change and sustainability along the urban “intra-blocks.”
